I'm back to work on Griff, as the Griff
Plog will show.
I finished writing Pistachio the Tyrant a couple of days ago (the day before
I went to Vegas for NAB). Just having this first draft read by some folks before
I make any corrections and start sending it off to agents or publishers to see if
anyone if interested (ie- the long, painful process of rejection).
Now that it's done, I'm back to work on Creep, Oh Darkened Vines. I had a
synopsis for the whole thing written out, about 60 pages done, but quite frankly
the story sucked, and all the humour that was in the first 15 pages didn't get carried
through the rest of the story. So I scrapped everything except those first 15 pages,
and maybe one of the final scenes will make it back because I liked the action in
it. Now the problem will be figuring out how to take the story in an entirely new
direction, make it something original, and forget all those lingering bits of what
I originally wanted to do with it. I'd rather take the effort to make it work now,
then get 150 pages into it and realize it's boring.
